Passionate about harnessing AI & Machine Learning at the intersection of Science, Technology and Engineering, Dr Njoroge is a Director on Conversational AI (CAI) at Lowe’s Companies Inc, where she is focusing on building the Conversational AI Capabilities at Lowes, with a focus on the development and optimization of CAI models such as Natural Language Processing, dialogue systems(chat bots); text mining to create a seamless customer experience to ensure delivery of the right home improvement products with the best service and value across every channel and community we serve.
Previously, she has held positions at Dell Technologies, Insight Data Science and Texas A&M to build Data Science program from inception instrumental to this Fortune 100 cataloging, centralizing, and storing its high-volume data; developed cloud-based automation using natural language processing to help organizations review and analyze data for patents – key to identifying AI trends, gaps and competitive analysis for innovation strategy decisioning.

She holds a Ph.D. in Computational Material Science & Engineering from Texas A&M, a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Prairie View A&M, and Certificates in Big Data, Social Analytics & Digital Transformation from MIT, ML for Cybersecurity from the University of Chicago and Entrepreneurism, Technology Commercialization and Multiscale Computational Methods from Texas A&M.

She remains abreast of emerging technologies, algorithms and models as a published author and diverse industry conference speaker. Jean is sought after as a STEM advocate; and in 2020 was named a Top 30 Women Advancing AI in TX and was nominated for VentureBeat’s 2020 Women in AI Award.
